Precast Estimator- FILLED

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Precast Estimator looking for your next opportunity? We are partnering with a company in Wallingford, CT, seeking a talented individual to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for precast concrete projects. This role offers the chance to leverage your analytical skills, blueprint reading expertise, and collaboration abilities to support the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Estimation: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for precast concrete products.
• Cost Analysis: Evaluate material, labor, equipment, and production costs to provide accurate and competitive pricing.
• Bid Preparation: Compile and present estimates in a clear, detailed format for submission. When necessary, provide layouts, concept drawings, and 3D models in AutoCAD to incorporate into proposals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop proposals and communicate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Vendor Coordination: Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring the best value and quality for materials and services.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks or challenges in the project and incorporate contingencies into the estimates.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and communications related to each project.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of infrastructure construction, precast concrete, materials, and industry standards.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
