Geotechnical Project Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to lead geotechnical engineering projects from conception through completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead a team in delivering high-quality geotechnical services. You will manage client relationships, oversee project execution, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities:
– Project Management: Lead geotechnical projects from planning through delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
– Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to foster trust and repeat business.
– Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to project teams on geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design recommendations.
– Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance on deliverables, ensuring all project work meets company and client standards.
– Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
– Proposal and Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts and work alongside  their internal business development team, including proposal preparation, presentations, and networking to expand the company’s project portfolio.
– Compliance and Reporting: Ensure projects adhere to regulatory requirements and provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
– Professional Engineer (PE) license required; PMP certification is a plus.
– Minimum of 5 years of geotechnical engineering and project management experience.
– Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively to clients and stakeholders.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
– Proficiency with industry software such as AutoCAD, gINT, and other geotechnical modeling tools.
