Key Responsibilities for the Geotechnical Engineer position:
- Conduct geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, and risk evaluations for various developments.
- Work with lab technicians, ensuring quality control, equipment calibration, and certification compliance.
- Prepare technical proposals and geotechnical engineering reports for clients.
- Plan and execute subsurface investigation programs, including coordinating utility clearances and analyzing design plans.
- Perform design and analysis for earth embankments, retaining structures, shallow and deep foundations, and slope stability evaluations.
- Enforce quality control standards to meet project requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (preferred).
- Certification:
- EIT (required) or PE license (preferred).
- Experience:
- 4-7 years of consulting engineering experience on civil projects.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software or the ability to learn quickly.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and quality-driven.
- Ability to interpret design drawings and meet project schedules.
